"Carrot Cake//Eat It Too"

I wanted to try my hand at something more artistic, so I had the idea to go to my local Walmart and pick up some free paint chips while grocery shopping. You know those strips of painted cardboard that are meant to show you how certain paints will look? I took one of them in the color "Carrot Cake" and wrote a poem around a doodle I made. It wasn't perfect and the ink smudged, but I am still so happy! 

*I might add a picture of the original artwork, but I wanted to share the poem itself! 

Carrot Cake//Eat it too

You try to be good for me

While remaining palatable--

I watch without confessing the impossibility of such a feat.

I am a master of self-destruction

With an affinity for gluttony.
